The Speed-Guardian 4000 H high performance security door
with high lift tracks was recently introduced by Hörmann High
Performance Doors (Pittsburgh, PA). This door is specially
designed for applications that have obstructions around the door
opening. The panel is guided inside higher than usual vertical
guide tracks to the point where there is enough space for the
horizontal track to run. This flexible mounting design allows the
door to be installed behind or above supply lines, crane tracks or
support beams. A belt mechanism with counter weights reduces
wear for reduced maintenance costs.
Snap-on Industrial (Kenosha, WI) are designed for accessing
hard-to-reach screws. The Ultra Low Profile Screwdrivers allow
users the ability to turn screws in extremely limited access
areas where other tools cannot reach. Available in both flat- and
Phillips-head sizes, these screwdrivers feature:
• Special alloy steel screwdriver bits which are the shortest
bits possible (10mm), while still allowing for full engagement of the screw.
• A heat treated contoured handle for comfort and
ease of use.
• A lanyard hole for a tethering option, to help prevent
drops (foreign object damage control).
PRIMEX (Ashland, OH)
introduces the new versa-
tile Level View controller,
designed to control two
or three constant or vari-
able speed pumps for
both pump up (water) and
pump down (wastewater)
applications. A color touch
screen HMI can be easily
read in direct sunlight and
offers the ability to provide on/off level control, speed control,
pump alternation, flow monitoring, data logging, alarm logging
and historical trending. An SD card provides for data storage and
download. Connectivity options provide flexibility for SCADA/BAC
integration as well as a plug and play interface to our Pump Watch
web-based monitoring system.
LUDECA, Inc. (Doral, FL) has announced the roll out of the new RS5 sensor for the OPTALIGN SMART machinery alignment system.
According to LUDECA, the RS5 sensor is a smarter, faster and more highly accurate sensor for the mid-range shaft alignment market
segment. Its XL HD detector, combined with the InfiniRange functionality, makes its measurement range virtually unlimited, even over long spans of 10m ( 33 ft). Its 5-axis technology makes
it the only sensor in this segment to offer simultaneous Live Move tracking in both planes for
machine corrections. This allows live monitoring of horizontal and vertical machine corrections at
the same time, with the sensor at any rotational shaft position. It also offers:
• Powerful synergy between the new, faster CPU and the MEMS inclinometer to ensure a
finer and faster acquisition of misalignment data during a Continuous Sweep.
• Highly accurate results to be obtained with as little as 60 degrees of shaft rotation, starting
and ending anywhere.
KNIPEX Tools LP (Arlington Heights, IL) adds new hose clamp
pliers to its Cobra line of pliers. The new pliers offering is
made specifically for opening hose clamps quickly and efficiently. The hose clamp pliers have the same features as
Cobra pliers, with the added benefit of universal, rotatable
tips for tight grabbing. The slim head design is ideal for
reaching into tight places and the forged, box-joint design
provides high stability. The pliers are made from German
chrome vanadium electric steel, forged and oil hardened. The
new hose clamp pliers are more robust and easier to use on
